Kevin Andrews took part in the Bournemouth Pier to Pier swim on 15th July, raising money for the British Heart Foundation’s research. This swim is 1.4 miles of open water between the Boscombe and Bournemouth piers.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It’s only thanks to support from people like Kevin that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 pays for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps. Kevin exceeded his target of £500 by 228% and raised £1140. Kevin thanks everyone for their generosity.
